Terms of Use
Version dated 31 July 2026, applicable from version 2.0 of the app.
The essentials, in four points
- The app is free: no ads, no in-app purchases, no account to create.
- It works entirely offline. The synthetic voice is generated on your phone, not on a server.
- Nothing you create leaves your device, unless you choose to share or export a file yourself.
- Your audio belongs to you, including for professional or commercial use.
The rest spells out those four points. By using MyAffirmPlay, you accept these terms.
1. The app
MyAffirmPlay is a free mobile app developed by Guillaume Fougeret, available on Google Play in French, English and Spanish.
It lets you compose your own affirmation audio: you write your sentences, choose a voice, background music, a duration and a pace, and the app assembles everything. You can also record your affirmations in your own voice.
It is entirely free today. Should that ever change, you would be told in advance, and the affirmations you have already created would remain yours.
2. Your data stays with you
The published version of MyAffirmPlay does not request Internet permission. Android therefore prevents the app from sending anything over the network. Anyone can check this in the app’s permissions. It is not a promise, it is a technical impossibility.
- The synthetic voice is computed on your device. No affirmation text is sent anywhere.
- No account, no trackers, no analytics. The app does not know who you are or how you use it.
- Your affirmations and recordings stay in the app’s private space, on your phone.
- No cloud backup. Automatic backup to Google Drive is disabled for the app’s content.
The only way audio leaves your device is when you make it happen: the “share” button, or the export to your Downloads folder.
Two permissions are requested, only when they are needed: the microphone if you record your voice, and notifications for playback controls while the screen is off. You can decline both; the rest keeps working.
If you subscribe to the newsletter from this website, your first name and email are used only to send you what you asked for, and are never passed on. Details in our privacy policy.
3. What you create belongs to you
The audio you produce is yours. You can listen to it, share it, broadcast it, include it in a paid programme or in a product you sell. No royalties, no permission to ask for.
If you use it publicly or commercially, we simply ask that you credit the app, in whatever form you like:
“Created with MyAffirmPlay, the app that gives your intentions a voice.”
This is a request, not an obligation: it helps the project stay alive.
If you import your own background music, you are responsible for holding the rights to it.
4. What remains ours
The app itself (its name, logo, interface, built-in sounds and the way it works) remains the property of Guillaume Fougeret. Only two things are off limits: reselling or redistributing it, and presenting it as your own creation.
Using it in your professional practice, including paid work, is on the other hand entirely allowed and encouraged.
5. Responsible use of the synthetic voice
The AI models behind the voice are released under a responsible-use licence, which asks us to pass a few limits on to you. You agree not to use them to:
- break the law, harm minors, or exploit anyone’s vulnerability;
- harass, defame, discriminate, or spread false information with the intent to harm;
- imitate the voice or identity of a real person without their consent, what is known as a deepfake;
- give medical advice or automate decisions with legal consequences.
And one transparency rule: if you publish audio generated by the app, say that the voice is synthetic. It is honest towards whoever listens, and the models’ licence requires it.
6. A wellbeing tool, not a medical device
MyAffirmPlay is not a medical device and replaces neither professional advice, nor a diagnosis, nor medical or psychological treatment. If you are going through physical or mental health difficulties, talk to a professional.
7. Warranties
The app is provided “as is”. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation or perfect compatibility with every device. Guillaume Fougeret cannot be held liable for indirect damages arising from its use, in particular data loss.
One practical tip: since your audio is not backed up anywhere other than your phone (that is the flip side of privacy), export the files you care about.
8. Third-party components
- FFmpeg / FFmpegKit, for assembling the audio: LGPL-3.0 and GPL-3.0. Sources: ffmpeg.org, ffmpeg-kit.
- Supertonic 3, for the synthetic voice: Open RAIL-M licence. Source: huggingface.co/Supertone/supertonic-3.
- Poiret One, Quicksand, Roboto, the interface typefaces: SIL Open Font License 1.1.
